So does it sound like either the reading tube is plugging or the sensor is beginning to fail?

pluged tubes are not to common down here. 99% of the time its a sensor and connector concern.

What does this turbo flutter sound like? Mine started making a noice recently after romping on it and letting off quickly.

go to youtube and search for 6.0 turbo flutter also try turbo fart.

That is the sound. Mine is not as severe.
What would the causes be on a 03 6.0?

same casue. aftermarket air filter, excessive idle time, poor fuel quality. just time.
