My 77 F100 harness was hacked up pretty bad. I ended up buying a 75 parts truck and swapping out the entire factorey wire harness. Wasn't that bad, I'd say 2 nights to change it over. I didn't realize at first, but the 75 uses a different ignition module so once that was changed, it started right up. There were very few other differences and they were only due to the trucks being 2 years apart. Ended up selling parts off the truck for way more than I had in it. If you can find an uncut harness, I'd look into that route.

Will do and I have been looking at the Ron Francis wiring harness since someone suggested that and it looks like all the rest, but at a better price. Since I travel for work and am gone every week I don't have a lot of "scrounging" time for parts Wish I did, but, for me, buying stuff new that is reasonably priced will likely be how I finish this.

Question [[[HELP]]] Need wiring diagram for 1978 Ford (Ranger) F150

Firstly, I realize I am probably posting in the wrong place. I have a "dumb o' girl!" question and just now registered, can't find my way around or my a** with both hands.
I have a 70 old male friend who just managed to drive all the way to Florida, but now can't find his way around under the hood of the Ford truck of the guy he went down there to help in the first place. Just picturing those two trying to put this thing back together conjures up images of two monkeys trying to ***** a football. He called me in here in california in a panic because they ALSO HAVE NO INTERNET service (see what I mean?).
They need the wiring diagram "just for the under-the-hood stuff" he says..for a 1978 Ford (Ranger) F150 (most came with a 360 eng., but his had a 390 originally and still does, probably irrelevant). Can anyone guide me to a place where I can lay hand to the diagram(s)/schematic(s) even in PDF form (I can print and mail to them)..hopefully free (but...) and with little or no hoops to jump through? My email is RathboneMemorial@aol.com (Linda) .. I will try to find my way back here if I can. I didn't agree to the email thing when I registered..I regret that. I don't see how to change it. So there's my email^^^. Thanks to anyone who sees fit to indulge this dumb o' girl xox PS IF anyone knows a more proper place to have posted this, please reply.
