Hey guys, I just purchased a 2008 Expedition Limited EL and I have some damage to the paint on the right silver panel just off of the center. I am in the processing of removing the dash and have moved out the seats, center console, and all the screws that we could find.
I have access to another dash.
Does anyone have a how to remove the dash?
there are two screws that are facing toward the engine bay that I can't reach due to the metal dash support which is tach welded, which i figured out after I removed the bolts.
The previous owner seem to have some kind of chemical leak where the silver paint was removed. The damage goes all the way down to the floor from the cigarette lighter.
I have tried all search methods and have not found anything. Please HELP!!!!.
if it is the same as an 06. there are hex head screws up in the top of you instrument cluster (I think 8mm, but can't remember. You pull those two screws, then tilt the wheel all the way down, turn key on and drop tranny in to low (make sure parking brake is applied and if you have column shift) and it will all pull straight out towards you. Every where there is a switch or display - there will be a molex plug to disconnect. Please do this at your own risk - like I said, mine is an 06 and the dash may be different. Hope this helps, Mike
