Pics of project '78 Bronco
#16
Well, I am lousy about posting updates so here's what's new:
The motor/tranny/t-case are in. I went with a 460 with a 4 speed. Nothing is hooked up yet, I had to get moving on body work. I did a 2 week wild rampage on the body and got it in paint. It is close to the original colors with a couple of creative touches.
On this project, my work is done. It now is going to live with my brother down south. I got this project for him and did the first parts to help him out. Here are some pics of progress and the finished result(and a teaser of what it will look like on 40's)
He has some sanding and buffing to do and he is doing the rest of the mechanical. I will try and keep you guys posted on the project.

Update
Since my brother started this thread I guess I will post the updates. Since I got the Bronco to Florida I spent the first 2 weeks it was here just sorting all of the parts and pieces I brought with it. It has been more disassembly then assembly so far. It has a 460, 4 speed manual trans and transfer case out of an 83 F250. I pulled the brake master cylinder, booster, steering column, and wiring off of the firewall to add some reinforcing metal to support a hydraulic master cylinder. I spent 3 days swapping accessories and pulleys around to line everything up on the swapped in motor. I got a clutch pedal assembly from ebay and am working on figuring out placement of the clutch master cylinder now. It is depressing to go looking for parts online and see so many things for sale that I threw away years ago, hindsight really is 20/20...
Have to go spend family time so I can have Bronco time later.

It is a Zombie thread, it is back from the dead, well not really.
If you were interested here then you can check out the complete build and progress at my actual build thread here.

Thanks to all who were trying to help my brother with issues on the bronco when he had it. I hope you will be happy with where it ends up when (if) I ever get it done.
