speedo drive gear choices for BW1345?

Bill isn't trying to be a jerk, nor do I think drumfield is, I more suspect confusion & speculation about unknown things than anything.
My personal opinion and suspicion is that all C6 transmissions come the same way; in my mind, manufacturing efficiencies would dictate that.
In any case, for the sake of completeness at least, here is everything the parts catalog lists for the 3.54 rear end ratio (pages 15-16-17)

Yes i think where Number Dummy and i are confused is I'm looking for the drive gear in a borg warner 1345 and it just so happens i have a C6. The gear I'm looking for is the one drumfield posted in the previous page in post 21. I'm not trying to be bullheaded or anything its just hard to do certain things over the computer i guess.

Ok for the sake of wrapping things up if anyone were to search this thread heres the new gear. Yes the book calls it blue, buts it's indeed green and yes it has 7 teeth and fits right with my 16tooth wine colored gear. The drive gear does come with the collar and axman this is the right gear, yours also has 7teeth by my count. So just get a 16tooth gear and your should be golden

Hey Tom, thanks! Yep, looks like the one, great pics. Understood on the different driven gear, those seem to be easier to find.
I moved on in my project to test driving, tuning, etc. But I'm going to snag one of these bad chickens for the next time I have transfer case work. Thanks again for the info!

The shaft seal has to come out in order to slide that steel collar on and off the output shaft. There is also a rubber-washer-type-seal under the steel yoke washer.
I did the fronts outside the truck, but did the rear shaft and yoke seals underneath the truck. Wasn't too bad. I hold the yoke still with a pipe wrench for torquing, air impact for busting loose.
Torque 100-130 ft lbs. Yoke nut 1-1/4"

1345 Transfer Case Borg Warner Parts Illustration and parts list! - Drivetrain.com
They show a cutaway diagram of the whole unit on their webpage, but it doesn't provide much detail about this particular seal. Here's a pic with the rubber yoke washer seals highlighted.
They fit tightly over the shaft & splines and squish into bit of a groove cut in the yoke. They are pretty springy rubber, but are smashed quite flat between the yoke, splines and steel washer when you torque it down. I don't think they can be re-used.
However, mine did not have any installed when I took it apart, it just had a few gobs of RTV. And it wasn't leaking - from this area.. Not saying I recommend RTV as replacement for this seal, but it might work for a while.
