HUGE fan of white letter tires. I agree that blackwalls look cheap. When I was a kid, if your car had blackwall tires, it was because you could not afford the optional whitewalls. You probably had "poverty" hubcaps, too.

BFG has the best looking white letters in the biz, btw. I have them on my truck.

Really depends on the truck and if you keep them clean.

I hate seeing dirty *** white lettering on tires.

On my 86 I had both sets white out and it looked great.
On the Lightning my first set were white out and I didn't like it. Now my Falkens don't have white lettering and it looks much better.

I personally like the white letters but if you want to hide them a felt pen will do the job.

Im still on the fence between white and black wall.

I know what you guys mean and I agree that BFGs have the best looking white letters around. I just think that I don't have the name of the manufacturer plastered on other items. I removed the labels from the low profile bug gaurd and the tool box etc, to give it a clean look. I guess thats really the only reason I'm thinking about it, is that it would look cleaner with less clutter.

Lew, The front tag was only for pictures. I agree, its not the best. It has a regular plate on it all the time.

I like this tag better, since it looks like its new from the dealer. I'd love to not run a front plate at all, but that doesn't fly around here.

Painted the center caps because, 1, curiosity. 2, I have another set if it didn't turn out.
I like the letters out, though.

You already know I like the white letters out, and it sounds like your opinion on logos and brand names on your vehicle is the same as mine.

I (personally) really done like those windshield visors you see that that way FORD or whatever brand. The PO of my truck put a friggin blue oval on the tailgail, must have not liked the location, pried it off and stuck it on again. Left a damn ring and a dent from prying it off.

The reason I put the white letters out, is because they look like crap when they are dirty and look great when they are clean. It's motivates me to clean the truck more often, and a clean set of white letters screams "I put time into keeping my truck nice."

sporting the bfg name... just a casualty of war.

HrdDrv-Nice truck man...I like the painted center caps myself...

Texasguy-To me, RWL look best on beefy tires, Goodyear Wrangler, BFG, etc......Black walls look great on slender tires....Just my.02...

On 235+ sized tires, the white letters will looks great...

I remember when he first posted after painting the caps. I think it looks really cool. kinda the opposite of the black rim silver center you see on cop cars.

I probably would have copied him already if I had a black truck.

[pulls out the rattle can, shakes, aims]...
Hey wait a minute, you gotta sand these first? and maybe use a tack rag on em?

I do have a second set I could make it happen. I wonder what the rears look like. Did he paint over the clear part in the center or mask it off?

Thanks for the props on the caps. I just put clear shipping tape on the cap ends and razor bladed around the ring, so the cap and rim are chrome.

I have the cap plates that are black.
Again, thanks for the thumbs up.

White letters look great on tires with a lot of side wall, IMO. Leave the black walls to non "car guys" and soccer moms... there are enough black walls out there as is.
