Question Tire Size Help !!!

Hello all,
I've got a 1977 F250 2wd
Stock Tires (current) are 9.5x16.5
(I've already picked up a set of 16" wheels)

I'm wondering what's the largest (tallest) Tires I can fit on 16" wheels

I'm leaning towards 285/75-16's

any help would be great

Depends on wheel width, a 285/75/16 has an 11.2" section width, perfect for a 16x8 wheel, but too wide for a 16x6 wheel.

You'll be fine then, if you're looking for something even taller the 265/85/16 is about an inch taller at 33.7" with a 10.4" section width.

It's not a very common size by any means, but they are available... there's far too many variables involved for me to say if they'll fit your particular truck or not e.g. wheel offset, spring sag, etc. but generally speaking most 2wd f250's can easily clear a 33" tire.
