when i opened my ip side cover to turn up the fuel a little . I found a piece of a flat shiny steel . which was a half of a circle in shape . Imo it appears to be a washer or a spring style shim washer which has broken in half . what do you guy think. Not really familiar with the guts of the pump so don't really know what to think. I will try to post a pict later.

 

i don't think anything is really supposed to be loose might be time to start looking for a new pump

 

Ya, nothing should be moving around or loose in the inspection cover. If you have loose parts in there, it might be time for a rebuild.
