God I need to get out to any of these Junkyards. You guys think the cars on the roooad are beat up in the rust belt? There are 4 dentsides in my town yard, you can't stand on the floor of any of them.
I've never had a really spectacular yard find though, what I love is all the little custom trinkets and accessories you can get when you have such a selection. Shift *****, cigarette lighters, steering wheels and hub covers. I know they're the cheapies of customization, but I really like puting all the details together just right.

No spectacular finds here but there was one in a local yard that I wish I knew more about, it was a 80 F100, MINT body, had a 300 I6, the 300 was rebuilt very very recently... I poped the valve cover off (I was going to snag the head but ran out of energy, it was pushing 100* that day) but every part of that truck was mint... I want to know why or how it ended up there, I know the yard only pays 150-250 bucks for'em... There was well over a grand in the motor..
And it wasn't in a yard but I snagged some stuff for my 78 off of a truck that one of my buddies got to part out and scrap. The truck was rolled 3 times and the passenger side doorwas nearly bent in half, the glass was still whole.. Not even the slightest crack.. Vent window was the same.. Door panel was perfect too!! Only the top of the cab was crushed and the front drivers side fender and front was bent up pretty good, I got the core support and fixed it, its good as new now.. I was amazed, also got the hood, it is also amazing as far as structure...

Went out to another yard....
They were using a '77-'79 Explorer bed for a tire holder... I sure hope it was in that shape already and it didn't get like that over the years...
Check out this custom paint job!
I know these are sorta rare.
Here's a '79 F-250 Super-Cab
(I was gonna pull that cool step off, but there was only one)
I grabbed the Type 3 Western Style mirrors off of this '75 F-250 Camper Special.
My phone didn't wanna take a picture of the whole truck, which I didn't realize until after we left...
This thing was CLEAN!
(The mirrors are the correct ones for my '76 F-350 Super Camper Special)

I was at a local pick and pull today, I didnt take a picture of it but there was what looked to be a stock/from factory 78/79(had round headlights but 78/79 grille) F250 6inline 4 speed, 4x4.
Ive never seen another or heard of another like that. the fact that it was a 250 inline 6, 4speed(inline and 4 speed are common) but 4x4 ontop of that I was like woah thats interesting.

nope lol, the one up on 13th and grace. The u-wrench-it just south of the u pull it on 60th'ish area had a a REAL nice dent, but the passenger side was real messed up...ironically was a 2wd 6inline 4 speed lol just not a 4x4 and was only a f100 custom if i remember right.
