That's where I got a new module for my '02 XLT a few years ago. It's the online side of a Ford dealership in Las Vegas. They were about half what the local dealer wanted for one and a snap to install - plug and play really. Send them an email from that link and ask for a quote. Be sure to include your VIN in the email so that they can get you the correct updated part number. There is a difference between early-build and late-build models in 2002. They can tell from your VIN which one you need. Post back and let us know how you make out.
Good luck.

If you squeeze the sides of your glovebox together and pull it forward this is what you will see:
To do the swap you should first disconnect the ground clamp from the battery.
The module is held in place by a bracket. Take out the screw circled in red and the bracket will come out. It's much easier to get to the back screw if the bracket is off. Unscrew the module from the bracket.
Now just swap the connectors from the old module to the new one. Screw new module to bracket and install the bracket. Hook up the battery and try it out. Be careful on pavement in 4-High because it will want to bind up the front axles.
