Console-Fest
Here are some assorted consoles:
Here's the one I built my Mustang. It's made out of scrap pine, stained ebony, with two coats of poly. The speakers are there so I didn't have to cut my doors or fab up kick panels. It's easily removable but has Velcro along the bottom so it stays put. It's out of the car right now cuz I'm replacing the floor pans...

do you fabricate and sell your consoles? email reply to oldesourdough@gmail.com
I have made quite a few consoles... Amps, storage, subs, accesories, and some combined. Material choice is the main factor. Are you using metal? mdf? fiber glass? They are fairly easy to do depending on what the use is. I like to make them flow with the seats and be made to accent the interior properly. Unfortunatly I have lost the sd card that had a lot of my interior installs on but if I can help at all I will...

No worries, drove it to work today so just wandered outside and took a couple of shots.
From passenger side (remember I'm in Aus, so steering wheel on wrong side!):
From outside passenger door:
As you can see, it needs a bit of a tidyup, has some cracking and paint runs and chips, it's made from fibreglass I'm pretty sure. It's good though, subtle, you don't really see it from outside the truck. I think I'll change it a bit, just not sure how yet, but overall I like it and haven't seen it in any other f-trucks (not that I've looked at a lot of them).
The interior on my truck is pretty rough, it's still as I bought it 2 months ago. I've been working on the bodywork but progress has been slow as I have had a lot going on and a few problems with my other car (1970 MG Midget) which have taken time away from the truck. Plus the bodywork was worse than it appeared, a few large rust holes had just been filled with filler, so I've been stripping them back and welding in repairs. Once the bodywork is sorted I'll move on to the interior, then from there move onto the mechanicals (which are in good shape already).
