Update: I couldn't find a suitable replacement for the shroeder valve or the rubber washer for the water drain. I gave up and bought the WIX filter with the built-in water drain. Another 40 bones but I am keeping the other filter for when I find the appropriate seals. Another issue that cropped up IS my fuel heater. I shouldn't have fiddled with it because now I have a leak there as well. I tried to remove the electrical lead but stopped because I was concerned about damaging it. I tried to persuade it with a screw driver and all. Now the SOB is leaking. I have fuel on top of the filter head. I expect I need a new O-ring there. What is the secret to removing the electrical connector?

As far as the size of O-rings I belive you can use the O-Rings that you use one the injector return caps with no issues just make sure you lube them

Well, I didn't break the heater connector off, I stopped prying at it when I thought it might break. I think I PO'ed the seal on the heater connecter, though. I am thinking of doing a bunch of things at once to the truck. I bought 8 Beru glow plugs for just under $100, I am looking at a new IP and matched injectors and I am thinking about replacing the rocker cover gaskets as they are leaking fairly good. I also want a coolant filter inline with the heater hose. I really loathe draining the dang coolant again now that I just replaced it but I do have a heater hose that came in contact with fuel or something and has a swell. The hose should have been replaced when I did the job initially.

i am having the exact same problem with my 93. wix filter in October, fuel only at the bottom of the plastic cover of the filter. Going to look with a mirror tonight. Nobody ever posted what size the washers were.
