2002 Powerstroke oil burn
Ive got an '02 powerstroke with a little over 35,000 miles. I changed the oil right before the winter and now it's about time to change it again. I just noticed off of the dipstick that it has burned about 1.5 quarts of oil since I changed it last. Is this normal for a 7.3 to burn this much oil in the cold winter weather (0-30 degree winter in missouri)? thanks

You should use less oil after your engine gets broken in. Sounds like you have a nice low mileage truck and I wouldn't worry about the oil consumption. That's normal according to Ford. IIRC Ford said 1 quart every 1k miles can be considered normal but that seems high to me and have never used that much unless I had a leak.
