Entering my 150 in the truck pull next week

ok so hoping to pull it farther then my 74 ft run last yr my truck single cab short bed f150 i6 last yr I had 3.08 open diff this yr im running 3.55 ls 31 10.5 tires truck is my dd with 220,000 havent quit yet wish me luck

Good luck! Im pullin my 89 tomorrow, so far this has been the first summer of pulling that I havnt broken something major by the end of the season!

good luck also!! my brother just pulled our 76 f250 in the county fair and got 265ft not too bad for his first time pulling...... have fun its a rush!

My brother entering his 94 chebby but he should out pull me do to he has heavier truck long bed with plow frame on the front but ill never live it down lol

Im useing low range weight class is 6600

I pull in 4lo 2nd gear, small block class if they have it, otherwise whatever is closest to what I qualify for.

RangerGirl, your truck would really shine with that 300 if you had a 4.10 gear ratio.

I know but I cant find any 4.10 trucks in the bone yard plus its my dd I really scared to see what my mpg would drop too

Oh, it would suck down the fuel like a big block. I get 16 in PERFECT conditions with my 4.11 gear. I average 13 mpg, or less.

Be happy with the 3.55's.

It would sure be sweet to see what a 300 could do set up for the tuck pulls..

Remember bill your truck is a reg cab flare side 2wd also. a styleside 4x4 will get much worse mileage. My old 95 I6 4x4 got 13mpg only when i took long trips at 60mph. other than that i got roughly 11.5. I had 3:73 gearing.

im guessing it has an 8.8? some explorers got 4.10s, you find them in the 2 door explorer sports alot
