Post 1966 F100 Interior Upholstery Ideas

New to this forum, so hope you can help me.

I (myself) have painted the interior of my 1966 F100 pickup the rare, original Ford color, Frost Turquoise. Need ideas for interior color schemes that would work well with Frost Turquoise to include the carpet, benchseat and headliner. Also, looking for creative reupholstering ideas for the benchseat.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Maybe a medium brown would be cool.

Saturn had a Morrocan leather in there Aura car that was sweet. It sort of looked like a worn bomber jacket texture.

I liked it, and thought it was really unique with out being tasteless.

ACC sells the best carpet for these trucks,

ACC: your authority for custom automotive carpet, floor mats, and more

Interior color? nothing beats a classic black or Ford had a Interior color called Parchment which is a off white, custom pipe work on the seat in a color close to the paint color will look Killer!

Welcome to FTE.

I suggest

provided that Turquoise is not too expensive you can use real Turquoise in all the dash *****. That would match up pretty well. As far as colors here's what I did with mine having a light blue base color: I painted my steering column, air vents and headliner white and installed black visors and black dash pad. My seat is in general dark and also my carpet. It would be great to see some pictures when you get-r-done.

Check out the pics in my gallery.

1965 Ford F100 4x2 - Getting closer to done

I went with a black cloth that had grey weave in it. Also covered the headliner and the door inserts are off being covered now. The carpet is dark grey to highlight the cloth.

Welcome aboard, --Mike

I need to do something with the top of my cab, how expensive are the formed tops? I need something decent doesn't have to be high end.

These are some really great ideas. I wish I had thought of using brown as an accent color before I put in the zipper pockets, which happen to be black, in my door panels. I don't intend for this to be a show truck...just something fun to drive with a little "WoW" factor!

Keep the ideas coming! I've got another couple of months before I take it to the reupholstery shop...Uncle Sam has to be paid first!

Lisa you may want to consider taking a picture of your interior as it is now and load it on your computer. Browse through the thousands of interior pictures online and look for colors you like. Save a picture of it on your hard drive and then start playing with the MS paint application. You can use the "dropper" to take a sample color from any part of the interior to fill in different areas of yours. Then you can mix and match colors all day until you find the ones that suit your taste.

The other added bonus is you will come across items you may want to stick in your truck as well. For instance, Robert's rear tank cover or other headliners with storage pockets.

interior idea

I always liked the look of turquoise with orange seperated by a chrome trim line and white accents. The turqoise with brown idea is a really good one too.
