I have no experience with Glow Shift gauges.

The Autometer Factory Match was an exact match to my OE cluster, illumination at night perfect as well.

Here is a link. If you mouse over the "view nighttime" flag it will show you how they look when lit.

I've been looking into glow shift, they dont seem that bad but i have only seen like youtube videos and such about them. No forum posts or anything that hints at their quality.

had trans and oil temp glo shift gauges in my 5.4, i never had a problem. i liked the sweep when they powered on, and that they matched the factory gauges well.'

I recently helped install a GS boost gauge in a friends truck. He says it's fine. Seems to function properly. As far as accuracy or longevity, I can't say.
But... GlowShift's new "MaxTow" line looks really nice!!! (I keep seeing an ad for them on the left panel).
I like the dual readings; analog needle/digital read out. If I were in the market for gauges, I'd consider them a strong contender.

the maxtow is nice but since my 04 has no digital gauges I'm sticking with the regular trans gauge. Should be here by next week i hope!

This is the GS Trans gauge I have. Elite 10 Color Transmission Temperature Gauge

I installed it right after I rebuilt my 4R100. It works great. I didn't buy it to color match so I'm not sure how close it is to be honest. I liked the red the most so that's what I keep it on.

The gauge lights are not messed up. It's extremely bright outside and with the glare it made the photo look funny.

I have glowshift and got them because they match the factory gauges very well. I don't have the black ones. Boost and trans temp.
