You can get the bushings from Clay of Riffraff Diesel. As for the play, two people helps a lot... one to steer and one to watch. Play can be in your tie rod ends, drag link ends, steering box, steering column, and ball joints. Keep us posted...

X2 for calling Clay for your bushings. He's a great guy to deal with and won't try to sell you something you don't need. Riffraff Diesel: Energy Suspension

I just ordered mine up from him and will be putting them in this weekend. As far as the play n the steering, have you checked the pitman arm? If it has been neglected, it may be worn out and creating the play. My suggestion would be to change out all your tie rods and check the pitman arm.

Good luck, and welcome to FTE. The people here are great and everyone is very helpful around here.

Hi and welcome! 460! thats what I look forward to.
I had the same/similar type issue with the battery light coming on and it turned out to be the the alternator was over charging my batteries!!! 17 volts! That would be something to check...
Hope you get 'er figured out soon.

Well it is the alternator, but its for sure not overcharging. Went by autozone yesterday to get it checked and it wouldn't crank to check it. And of course they couldn't find my warranty info in their computer. And they wonder why I never buy parts from them.

I never buy from autozone, but I didn't really have a choice at the time. And on top of all of that, they didn't even have a way to jump me off. Thankfully people around here are helpful, and I was able to get a jump from one of their customers.

Brought it home and parked it till I can get it sorted out. There is no way I'm paying full price for a new one when their pos is covered. I'm gonna get in touch with their corporate office this week and get it sorted out.
