Pulled the tired and badly rusted 352 out of the 65. Got the motor on the engine stand rolled it over to take a look at the bottom end and here is what I saw.



Question is does anybody have any info on why only one of the con rods is a bronze or cooper color?I Have been told by a reliable source that they have been seen in other Ford motors. Possibly Ford was running some test with them. I thought that maybe it had been overheated. I pulled the cap the bearing looks good not much wear on it at all.
