flexplate 50 oz to 28 oz

has anyone cut down the weight from a 50 oz flexplate to a 28.8 oz

you would need a precision rig. Just buy a new one. I got mine at Advance for ~ 50 bucks.

A machine shop who knew what they were doing could do it, but it probably would be cheaper to buy a new one like the other poster said.
