239 yblock

i was just wondering what a good 239 yblock and 3 speed trans is worth

Not much. The 239 is not a very powerful engine and some parts are problematic.

I pulled a barely running 239 and sold it for about $150. It had a worn out timing set that slipped.

I replaced it with a 292.

You might get more if you find someone who specifically wants a 239 to put in their 55 F-100-600

I am not worrying about someone noticing that my Y-block is NOT a 239. Most people cannot tell the difference!

A "core" 239 is probably worth more as scrap.

Had to give away a spare 239 I had.
Could not sell it for even $50.
