WTB 302 or 351M or???

Hi everyone,

Looking to restore my truck and get rid of the olds 403 and hydromatic 400 that is in it. Looking for a rebuildable 302 or 351 or one that has been rebuilt and will fit my 77 F150 2wd.

It would be great if all of the accessory mounting brackets are available too.

Thanks!

Mike

I live in the Phoenix area, but could work something out on shipping if interested.

Restore it to a gutless gas hog?

If the 403/400 is done well, leave it.

If you must, go with a later roller 351w, done up as the HO version was.

You will find no end to almost free 351ms, for good reason. Better you go with the 300 six than that turd.

Your truck, good luck.

You know, as I was working on it today I thought that exact same thing. The 403 is strong, newly rebuilt (3000 miles), but has some leaks etc... I was thinking more along the lines of finding parts etc... but maybe that is not a big deal.

Yea, if it's a fresh motor and a good clean installation, fix the little things and drive with pride. As I recall, the 403 was a pretty good runner--an old buddy and I were out one night and he blew off a Camaro with his big boat of an Olds. Of course, we are talking stock smog motors all around, but still....
