E4od Replacement

Will a non 4X4 E4OD fit into a four wheel drive model? I was told it was the same transmission.

Thanks,
Geoff C.

E4od Replacement

It will fit if you change the extension housing to the 4x4 unit and change the output shaft to a 4x4 shaft. That requires a complete transmission teardown.
