After reading the myriad of posts here about converting the auto lock hubs to manual hubs, I decided I needed to give it a shot. I depend on my 4 wheel drive system WAY too much to take chances. I found a new set of Mile Marker 449SS hubs on E-bay for $99, so I bit the bullet and bought them.

To anyone who is considering doing this conversion, stop thinking about it and DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This mod was SO simple I can't even put it into words. I only took about 25 minutes including sealing off the vacuum lines. I got them in the mail about 2, by 3 I had already cleaned up and went back inside.

Where did you end up plugging your vac lines? Mine are plugged just above the wheels but I'd love to plug them at the source instead...
