Remanufactured Tranny?
I just bought a 1990 F350 crew cab diesel, (first Ford, and first diesel)as I was looking around under the truck I noticd a plate on the side of the transmisssion that said remanufactured, with some numbers under it. Just curious, is remanufactured "rebuilt"? Or a new transmission? The bolts that bolt the tranny to the engine look to be in good condition. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your replies.

Pre-Power Stroke Diesel (7.3L IDI & 6.9L) - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums First off you should check out the page in this link, great guys there for any advice on IDI diesel engine problems.
Reman means that the trans has been rebuilt with new parts where necessary.
Just for interest is it auto or manual?
