getting a few toys next week.

I worked some major OT at work, and I'm rewarding myself by getting a trans for the engine swap, and a turbo. The turbo wasnt planned, and I never thought I would ever get this one. It's hard to argue with $150 for a Holset HT3B for the big turbo in a twins setup. I really need to get about double the fuel out of the pump to make use of it, but it'll sure be fun. Where it's gonna fit under the hood is another story.

it's for the diesel. I have thought about a turbo on the 300, though.

Sounds like fun. I wonder how a turbo would help the 300???

A turbo helps engines with small ports. It would basically make it a gas version of a Cummins. Great power, and decent economy.

This 6.6 has compression in the 17.5 range. The 300's is right at 8:1.
Here's a pic of the turbo next to the compressor housing of a DT466's turbo:

Awesome! New toys are always good. Especially when one of those toys is a turbo.

Ahh, toys... I'm shopping right now for a tuner and custom tunes for my Super Duty. I'm down to a choice between Innovative Automotive and Gearhead Automotive. Gonna put in an SCTX3 tuner. Can't wait.
