Because I need something that gets better than 13 mpg.

Where's that chainsaw at?

Based on the assumption that your truck is paid for, and getting 13 mpg.....Why would you sell it, and turn around and have to pay payments on something that MAY get 5-7 mpgs? It's gonna be about the same....

And trust me, we will figure out the issue...Have you seafomed it from the top? Trust me man, that will help a bundle....I feel like throwin' in the towel at times...then I look at the poor chap getting 21mpg city wise an paying $300 a month for a new car for the next 5 years, and another $2-300for full coverage insurance....And then I simply chuckle to my self, and grab another gear...

Given your EGR, and engine is clean....You should net 14-16 city and 18-20 highway.....At least I do....And that is with a longbed.....That 4.10 rear gear is a double edged sword Bill....Sure its great for gettin off the line, etc but in all honesty, after 40mph, it starts killin the MPG......

Eh....It's not a towing rig...Maybe an occasional trailer, chevy, etc.....

-Wes

P.S-It's a dual thing having the ONLY truck of this era around here that is MODERATELY fixedup...And not with every doo dad known to man from Wal-Mart....
