Good afternoon y'all. I'm off work, but I'm taying up another hour so I can eat lunch. Not like I would get much sleep anyway. I have another one of the night shifts again. I'm really getting burned out on that crap. Last one though, and I'll get to relax for a day before going back on my regular schedule.

Good day y'all! Back on the last night shift! Sleep dep is getting to me I think.

 

My fix to not sleeping is dump a bunch of caffiene in your system and see how long it takes you to crash. Simple and elegant XD. In serious though, don't intake caffiene for 24 hours-ish and drink camomile tea prior to going to bed.

Anyone want to buy me a new 500 cfm holley or rebuild this POS and help me tune it? Lol. Second time it has been off, I think it is still float related.

 

I'm good on the caffeine.. I'll just rough it out.

Killgore, did you balance the carbs yet? My brother had to balance his on the Honda hawk. Unless it's something else.. I haven't owned a carb'd vehicle before, and have little experience except for the single and occasional double.

 

Well its a single carb. I just have the float sticking or the needle not sealing or something. All I know is fuel is not supposed to come out of the top vents, and it is.

 

Hmm. Well isn't there an oring or seal on the inlet jet, and then one on the adjuster screw?

Well first thing this morning, chugged some coffee and drove up to Topeka and visted my Aunt and Washburn college (just mostly looked around the campus). Turned and burned back into Wichita. FWD and rain does not mix well.

Then I was trying to open just the top of the carb to get a looksie at why the dang thing would not work, and banged my head thrice on the hood latch. New hood springs are probably in order at this point. Got frusterated and pulled the carb. Thinking about just buying a new one at this point.....

 

So I wanted to go with a vintage shop truck vibe on the truck, thought it would be cool, The yellow bar is a slapper bar, couldn't find a good photo to photoshop. Also didn't match colors ver well.
