well usually i can nail details pretty well on a color scheme but i cant make up my mind on this one. i got the wrong silver before and it came out this color and with my amazing welds
i just painted this straight purple. NO one has my color purple ANY WHERE!! im sure i could get it online but thats for another day. let me know what you think of this shade. its 3 or 4 shades off from mine 2 tone now but ehh what ever. its either this(or if someone knows where i can get ford purple) or the silver by color code at the store.
( the orange boots ruined my mood
i experiemnted with bondo today, grinded the welds down and the high and low spots and the divits you get get when it doesnt go flush were driving me nuts
my state of the art hanging booth LOL
and this is the best way i can project the true purple i have on my truck

I think the purple looks real good Steve. I painted mine dark ford blue, bought the spyder chromed already. I wrapped the hot side pipe, had extra wrap from the downpipe and it's protected where its close to the bracket. Here's a couple pics of mine, kinda dirty from sitting all winter, just brought it home from the shop tonite for something to do. Gotta burn off the winter fuel in there yet.

You're a brave man.
I know in my house/shop if I used a door **** for that the wife or daughter would come through the door, the part would fall, get purple paint on the wall, the floor, the door, and the bottom of their shoes when they stepped on it to ask what that noise was.
Looks good.
I've never used bondo to hide my crappy weld, just disk grind and spray with bedliner.

lol that was the rear exit of the garage that's locked so that was my only door i could use safely! after the bondo you'd never tell its welded! its completely smooth all around. I recommend to any one, a little palm sander goes a long way with 80 and 120 grit. but heres a picture of it in the day time.
thanks for the opinions and advice guys
