got my cab on my frame today. pretty excited. its way to damb big though.
It had great penetration on the 1/2" plate I wasn't even at full blast its rated for 1/2" steel in a single pass and 3/8" aluminum I'll have an update with pics soon got my new rear under it and some big honkers 40" tires on it now it looks mean got my bushings today so I just need some 1/4" plate so I can start doing the cummins mounts hoping to find a Dana 60 front and a divorced NP205 t case this weekend. So your trucks to big now Hahaha bigger then you wanted or no?

Nice! Going with the premium stuff I see. How much did the rears cost if you don't mind me asking? Do you have a part number on the rear springs?

Ok, I will be knuckle head and answer my own question. Found the rear spring part number: FR98S. They run $350 each correct?

By the way Dwight's auto wrecking in Richfield, UT had a 78/79 HP Dana 60 Front for a $1000 about three weeks ago. I am not sure if it is still there. Good luck!

Yea I've always been a skyjacker fan I believe build it once the right way that's what's taking so long I been saving and getting parts little by little the past 2 years and finally I can see some progress I believe I got them for around 500 for the pair of rear leafs ill try finding the paperwork on them when I get a chance see if I can dig up a part number for you

I think the pro comps are a little cheaper. But like he says u pay for quality and I think there like a 5.5 instead of 6 if I remember right

Hmm usually they say its to small not to big lol I couldn't resist Alil humor. I may have to adjust my rear leaf mounts I wanted the truck to sit alittle higher in the rear so it won't sag so much when pulling a trailer right now I think I have it alittle to far up in the rear ill probably let it go until I start driving it allow the springs to get broken in it may squat down some I just gotta upload the pics when I get home its a beast with the 40x17x16.5 tires Ryan that part number sounds right I'll double check for you I see the Dana 60 fronts go for anywhere from 500 to 1500 just pulled from trucks not rebuilt it may take awhile for me to get one they are rare as can be around here especially everyone with a jeep thinks they need one you can almost bet you won't find one in any junk yards here most likely will have to go to a private seller reminds me my rear axle was almost bolt in my stock 60 was like 40 1/2" from center leaf perch hole to. Hole my new axle is 43" I am debating if I really need to cut the perches off and relocate them

alright now for the big honkers on it it really changes the look of the truck and i actually see progress now but long ways to go the rust on this cab is horrible was real bad when i first got it i replaced the floor pans and cab mounts now i need the door bottoms inside the front doors below the hinge and cab corners so ill be busy for awhile check out these pics that one has a 30'' tall tire sitting behind the rear 40'' shows how high it sits this is under its own weight no jacks

and the rear 14 bolt install like i said it was almost the same leaf perch spread as my dana 60 was 40 1/2'' and this is 43'' i think it's close to bolt in when using the SD leaf mounts like i did it hung the leafs alittle more out then the stock setup noticed this when i sat the SD rear leafs on the stock dana 60 good deal beefy axle sweeet..

Looking beefy! That thing is going to be a beast!

You will have to cut off the spring perches anyway since you will want to rotate the axle upward to improve pinion angle.

How is your caster angle on the front? From what I understand the ideal caster angel is 7 degrees forward.

The secrets out... Small world. Ya, my bed was used and abused. I drive up to Salt Lake about once a month or so for a pastors meeting.
