Been since last summer when I started first mocking up the IC so my memory is Alil faded on the top IC mounts. Lucky I try taking lots of pics to go back on. You might be able to keep the mounts where they are but you won't be able to tuck it in close to radiator check out these pics to get a idea of what I mean. Also remember the farther out you mount the IC the more shaving you will need to do to the grille and inserts and the top cross piece valance I believe it's called? Mine is as far in as I could get it without cutting into the radiator opening in the rad support also if you leave the mounts where they are they may not clear the hood but I never looked into that. Hope these pics help any measurements or pics you need ill do my best just let me know.

And for some progress pics got the lower part of the support that I cut out all played back in wanted to finish it today as they are calling for rain the next couple days got it all cleaned up and ran out of grinding discs just need a tiny bit of smoothing yet started to rain right as I ran out of discs so perfect timing the weather held off just long enough ready for paint as soon as I get a disk and only will take about a minute for the smoothing out part

Ok back to work Alil bit I been slacking once again and haven't touched frankenford in over a week been working on the challenger and going to car shows lately had the challenger out for the first time this year (been addicted to my cummins) over the weekend oh BTW I'm selling my challenger and my bike if anyone is interested. But back to the crew cab got the Ic mounted and radiator still deciding how I want to make the top radiator hold down so any ideas are welcome so while I figure that out I started mocking up all the Ic and rad plumbing. Just need to order all the right boots I used what I had laying around just to give me a idea what I need. Only thing I got to figure out is the lower radiator hose to water pump cut the stock dodge one up but not quite the right bends needed so I may try looking for something close at the parts store or try making my own pipe. Here's some pics

Was thinking of ideas for my top radiator mount as you see the bolt would be a piece of pipe instead and it would unbolt from radiator support any ideas welcome still deciding

Was thinking about getting a 3rd gen dodge 62mm turbo for a better turbo outlet since they have a turnout on the housing facing the front of truck using the elbow on the second gen puts it to close to the frame rail unless I clock the housing

Nice radiator. Looks expensive. You are getting more done than me. I am just building motor mounts this week.

It's a long process as I keep going back and changing things I'm on my 5th rear axle and 3rd front axle thinking about going with a Aam front axle now with a 4 link and coils but we will see. a dual disc valair clutch is next on my list to get so I will be one step closer to firing it up. I've been following your build to haven't seen any updates lately. Ryan any ideas on how to make my top radiator hold down? I've been racking my brain for the past week on it. Decided to do the plumbing and today I finished trimming my grille fitment need to take pics of that as another member is curious of the clearances. Still need to trim the grille inserts might do that today.

I think you have figured out your upper rad mounts on your own. I like what your doin there. You could even run a 2" strap from your piece that sits in there and shoots straight over to your rad support where you could ether weld to flange that bolts to support or bend your strap 90 degrees and bolt that way. I think your radiator is going to be plenty looking at it. what exact radiator are you running. Part number? Is it a 3 or 4 core? Where did you get it? How much? Ha ha...... Your hard core now your thinking 4 link up front. Not a bad idea for what your doing, its just funny your thinking about changing again. You could 4 link your 60 as well if you wanted. I like the turbo idea but make sure you get a down pipe with it there stupid special flanges are expensive and hard to find. Its easier to find someones stock down pipe. I'm not sure but aren't the second gen turbos clockable. P>S> I find myself staring at the pic with your gill on where your ic is centered in it. Looks bad a$$.

L bracket from the radiator support across the top of the radiator should work, right? You could add a bit of rubber or other insulating material to keep things from vibrating.

Haven't worked on the top radiator mount yet like the idea of the strap going to each end of the support sort of how I did the bottom mount but my radiator fill cap would be in the way so ill need to either work around that or just do something like I took a picture of. I'd have to look for the part number but I got it from summit and its a 3 row I think was awhile ago since I bought it. A 4 link would be nice I was only thinking a front Aam to match the rear axle, parts more available at parts stores (I think?) and its already setup for coils and link bars but if I did link it I want to run FOX coil over shocks. So the spring buckets wouldn't be used probably anyways and not sure if the link tabs would even be usable. Only time will tell and funds if that's anytime in the near future but will be on coil overs at some point in its life most likely rockwells to hahaha.... The second gen can be clocked as far as I know but would like a 3rd gen housing as it will be Alittle less bendy plumbing and not so close to the frame/inner fenders. I'm wanting a 62mm possibly a silver bullet but need to go over what wheels and housing would be best for me custom built may be in the works. Are the 3rd gens flanges like the second gens or different hx40 style something else depends what turbo you go with I'd imagine

Made some progress last week got the grille and inserts trimmed and fit up lucky I still had something left of the inserts. I'm thinking about putting some kind of screen mesh behind the inserts to help with any sticks and whatnot from poking the IC and give it Alittle more appearance look. Tell me what you's think. one insert is silver as the other is black because the original one on the truck was cracked and truck came with the black one for a replacement. Only worked on it for about an hour over the weekend got my throttle cable mounted from the engine and secured through the firewall all i need to do now is mess with the cable to pedal attachment. just wasn't motivated to be outside in the direct sunlight when its hot enough out to sweat in the shade just standing there.

man that looks great. funny how your grill is perfect but the hood is so hammered. but how your ic sits in there looks tuff.. i think im going to paint my grill same color as the truck and polish the crap out of the ic so it stands if it sits anything like yours does. have you seen the billet inserts for your grill. there spendy but look so good. any ideas on hood latch or is that out ya think? im not sure on the second gens really have never played with them. im going with the 3rd gen turbo. found down pipes that are 5 inch on ebay for 120.00 so not terrible. then modify from there. i had a phatshaft 62 on my 3rd gen and it spooled quick. i think with the cam im runnin im going to go with the super phatshaft 64 or the silver bullet 64 or 62. the guys at industrial infection are really actually pretty smart and its worth a call to them tell them what you got and what the plan is and if you can get someone that not just trying to sell you somethin and willing to listen could be a useful call. when you bought yours radiator do you remember if they offered a 4 core? also whats the big pipe for in the last couple picks. ive seen a few people cut the part of the fuel linkage that goes out side the fire wall off and weld it on the inside and run a stock dodge cable. drill a round hole and file it square and fits like a charm. how did you do yours?

Yea it sucks this truck is in this bad of shape from rust I've already patched the dreaded roof rot but will need to remove the drip rail to get the small holes yet not looking forward to that at all. The grille is in good shape except for one headlight bezel is scuffed from something? I got big plans for the grille and IC I can tell you that it will be wicked and be one of a kind for sure. I will be polishing the IC as well but ill let the grille be a nice s*** in your pants moment hahaha I've seen them billet grilles and was going to get one but wasn't sure if it would of fit with my IC so I passed on that. No idea on the hood latch yet ill need to mount my other hood on the truck to see if anything will work this hood is to banged up and has no latch on it to find out. What made you decide on a 3rd gen turbo? I got to call around and see what II says along with E.D about turbo setups the silver bullets sound like they are good turbos from what I've read and others said about them but I see them way to much for sale makes me wonder if they are so good why do I see them for sale and the owners saying going a different turbo route. I'd like a 64mm but don't know how it will be for trail riding. I can't say if they offered a 4 core or not I'd imagine it would need custom made I just browsed websites and checked out radiators that fit my measurements had the ports on the right sides and right size in/out ports forgot to get the part number for you ill try to remember to get it for you. That big pipe is for u joint shields to go around the axle yokes sounds like the throttle setup your talking about is almost how I'm doing mine do you have any links to the throttle setup your talking about? Ill have pics up hopefully by end of the week with the finished cable setup

Also forgot another picture update from last week one day it was raining out and I wanted to get something done so I finally got around to rebuilding my steering column only been 2 years since I went and sent it to be powder coated in that time ive been pondering getting a tilt column from a dentside truck so i prolly wont even use this one now. so I sat down in my living room on the couch and started assembling it and heard a rustling sound behind me turn around to look and what do you think I seen? Scroll through the pics and you shall see what happens when I get spooked and a trusty burner close by

wow what the hell.... thats creepy.... what kind of snake is it. that commin down there for them to get in your place? steering column looks great. that sucks your not going to use it. i like the 74mm turbine wheel and the 14cm housing. no worries. i think im going to order the 4 core ford radiator and have my buddy switch the necks for me. for easy bolt in....
