Thank you....good report. 15.4 doesn't seem too bad at all. Is this 4x4 with a 3.73 rear end? Would be nice to see others with the 6.2 chime in and see if there's more consistency with the 6.2 MPGs vs the 3.5.

15 MPG for that engine non innerstate is very good. I also look forward to a more comprehensive report. I suspect this one is based on the lie-o-meter that we all never seem to be able to match the true figures by dividing the miles drives by the gallons used.
Have just over 400 miles on my new 6.2. Did an actual mileage count by actually dividing mileage by actual gallons used. Just under 12 mpg. This is with temps in the 20's to 40's and part highway and part city. It does seem to be getting a bit better now and with the warmer temps coming, I would expect to get in the 14 to 15 mpg range. I could live just fine with that as I didn't expect an economy vehicle with a 3/4 ton 4WD.
I'd be very surprised if I got anywhere near 15 in the city let alone hammering it. A more realistic number for that scenario with the 250 would be 11 or 12. I know because that's what I get.

Yes, I had this originally posted in the F150 2009+ forum. SOMEONE moved the thread...not too sure why that happened as I clearly posted as a F150 owner. So sorry if this gave wrong info to the Super Duty people. I never intended that..as I said SOMEONE (moderator guy, I assume) moved this here to the Super Duty 6.2L category. There seems to be no distinction between Super Duty 6.2L and F150 6.2L categories on the FordTrucks.com website...that is a problem. I hope someone important (again, moderator guy I guess) fixes this.

To be perfectly blunt, since you're hammering moderators here, the move was made by a moderator in the 2009+ F-150 forum because ALL engine specific threads concerning the 6.2L are being moved here. This forum is not specific to the Super Duty version of the 6.2L. If you'll notice, the forum is named "6.2L V8". Perhaps your post would have been left there if there was something in your post, or if you had a signature, that indicated your truck is an F-150.
Likewise, all engine specific threads related to the EcoBoost are going to be moved to the EcoBoost forum. The 2.0L 4 cylinder EcoBoost is going to be available in the Explorer and those threads will be in the EcoBoost forum.
EDIT: Yours isn't the only one. All of the 5.0L and EcoBoost specific threads are being moved to the correct engine forums. Not to mention all of diesel questions and threads being moved out of the Super Duty forum and into the appropriate diesel engine forums.
For the Super Duty 6.2L. I have about 700 miles on mine with the 3.73 rear end. Cruise set at 70 mph for 120 miles 14.4mpg. Cruise set at 60 mph for 60 miles 14mpg. Driving around town 10-11 mpg. I can notice the difference from my 08 6.8L V10. Once broken in the numbers should go up some. Also the ride compared to the 08 no contest.

What about towing anything in the 6000-8000# range.
Good numbers. Similiar to my 08 Expedition with 20" (towing on hwy at 62 put me at 7mph)
it is 4x4 crew cab with 18" wheels. I have not pulled my enclosed trailer yet to see what the numbers are. With the v10 the gas mileage was the same pulling or just driving around. So that will be interesting.
With the cruise set at 65 mph, no load and a
tailwind, I was able to squeeze out 16.5 mpg on
a 161 mile stretch of interstate highway last weekend(3.73 rear).
Around town 11.5 is the best I can do. Can't squawk
about them numbers...
