And you left off the 250's.
I actually was looking for 250 numbers

The last 3 fill ups for me have been, 11.1-11.3-11.2 mpg. They all were with .2 mpg of the meter on the dash. Today I drove 160 miles on the highway and got 14.7. I did have 5 guys in the truck and 30 bowling ***** in the back, so there was a little extra weight. Not upset about those numbers since they are more then I was expecting when I bought the truck.

Sorry 4's, my bad. I should have said SD's, not exclusively 350's.

4,000 miles on the truck now. Back and forth to work and where ever else I go in rural southeast Louisiana I get 13'on my 4x4 super cab lwb 4.30 el rear. 7.5 to 8.5 towing my boat. Weight of BMT is aproximately 9,000lbs 12'8" tall on the trailer. On flat ground I can pull in 6th up to about 62. Thats where the wind drag really gets me. The truck really does not want to go much faster with that load. I also haul my John deere tractor on a dual tandem goose neck flat bed approximately 13-14k total weight and the truck hardly knows it's back there.

All fuel numbers have been hand checked and compared to the lie o meter and it's off no more than .5 mpg.

Fuel economy

I just bought a 2013 f250 4x4 with 3:73 rears. It has the 6.2 engine and I have 117 miles on it so far. I drove it to work the other day...38 miles of back country roads in Indiana one way and got 15.8 mpg. That is great for such a big truck and a big gasser to boot. I'm hoping for better once I put 5000 miles on it...but so far extremely pleased and surprised. My previous 2004 dodge 1500 with the hemi got 11-12 all day.

My f-150 with 6.2 and 3.73 cruising around 70mph gets around 19.5 to 20 mpg (Canadian gallons) it's only have 4000 km on it so far!

I also have a CC 4x4 with 3.73 rears..... that 15.8 your seeing is most likely the instant reading correct?

I will nee 17-18 instant on a nice flat road but you will see once it averages out you will be down around 12 or so like the rest of us....with a heavy foot it will drop a lil more.

I have seen it run 12-13 towing my car at 65-70 on nice flat road but again thats an instant reading....once it factors in the stop and go its down around 10-11

If your getting 15.8 average then lucky you....you got a factory freak!

I've been following the 6.2L economy for a while now, and quite frankly, 15+mpg is not as uncommon as one thinks in the Superduty with the 3.73 rear ratio. I'm still not sure if I can handle my 9,400# travel trailer with the 6.2L enough to push me off my 6.4L Stroke.

I have 1800 miles on my F350 SD 6.2 4x4 automatic and I seem to be staying right around 15mpg so far. 14.8 - 15.2 The real test will be when it goes to Florida and back in a few weeks.

I can manage to keep the lie-o-meter in the low 14's with about 60% hwy and the rest stop and go traffic. Start racing between red lights and going 80 on the hwy and it drops to mid-low 13's quick.

This is an interesting thread. One suggestion: When posting your numbers also post your axle ratio, as that seems to have more to do with gas mileage on the 6.2 than anything else.

That said, numbers in the 13 to 15 MPG range I just automatically assume the 3.73, the 4.30 is probably only good for 12 on the high end.
