This is why you never give your buddy the plasma cutter.

I love my ZF5 transmission. Awesome first gear

Intercooler for my bronco. Probably makes the one on Oreocreaming's truck looks small.
Its leaning up against a 40 inch tire for reference.

Ever try an engine swap in a apartment complex parking lot?? I wouldnt recommend it.

Everything nice and clean

The 4bt in all its beauty

This is the main reason to never do a engine swap in a parking lot. Your *** will get towed.

Its also the fastest way to get more lift out of your bronco.

Had to put the 4bt in and out like 4 times to get the engine mounts mocked up. That thing is heavy and tall.

All done after the swap. This was the first time I ever did a engine and transmission swap. So i was happy that she would just move.

How about some performance parts to make this puppy move!!
DennyT fuel pin

3200RPM Governor spring

4 inch mandrel bent exhaust.

And last but not least a new turbo from a 2008 Dodge 3500. Havent decided if i want to just use it or build a compound turbo setup.

Now with any good lift install you need some bigger meats to go on afterwards. Good thing i picked up these slightly used 36x13.5 R15 Irok Super Swampers.

But of course Murphys law always follows my bronco and i lost a tire on the way to the tire shop and broke a rim. So i had to source some new ones.

New rims and tires

Time for some more action shots. First offroading trip since the Diesel install and the lift was put on. She performed like a champ.

Buddy got water in his distributor

my intercooler is as big if not a little bigger. its only 2" shy of being as tall as the diesel radiator, its outside to outside 10" wider then the radiator.

oh, honestly i think 1 month is a bit too long for a pole. people get burned out on it long before. 2 weeks keeps the interest alive and keeps the people in it scrambling for votes.

day 1

day 2

about a month in

couple weeks later got the 37's

decided the front end had to go!

after this!

i had to do this

the tires sucked when pulling loads like this

so i had to do this

all this after new poly bushings on the cab and the whole suspension.

then needed cut out flares in the rear, added 04 powerstroke mirrors, power heated and blinkers integrated all on 1997 powerstroke doors to match the 1992 front clip and 1997 powerstroke tailgate.

before the 42's and the lift kit i did the full interior,

dynamat on the floor and roof to help keep the heat out and the cold in during the summer.

oh ya, and you can see in the tailgate pic i built a custom hitch, dual receivers for the 1 and 2 car trailers. 1/2" plate with 3x6x1/2" tube tying it all together. 18" drop hitch for my 1 car trailer, straight hitch for the 2 car. oh, ladder bars on the rear too to help keep the axle wrap to a minimum 1 1/2" .250 dom wall tubing with heim joints and a custom shackle on the front to prevent binding

oh, and the upgraded steering draglink to match the larger tires but doesnt take much load because ive got 2" full hydraulic ram for the steering. draglink is just to keep it CA dot legal

We're rockin'!!!

And now the strategy behind the "Month Long Drama" begins to come into play...

Not a "Sprint Race" is it?

PS: I notice the Ranchero went on the trailer FIRST!
