Morning world........... Looks like a nice day to go work on the Lincoln again. Steering column is loose.... gotta apply some threadlock to the bolts I guess. Or else Charlie lost his strength the day he tightened them!!

I'm lucky enough that I do have on hand a complete steering column for my Mark VIII. It just doesn't have a working in-out motor. I can take care of that as the one in there now works...in-out and up-down. But I believe that the one in there only has some loose bolts. I also have a tube of thread sealer!

hello all. sorry for not replying back Bud, been a bad day here. The cancer has returned with a vengence on the black dog, we're going in a minute to take him to put him down. will be digging a BIG hole tomorrow. I'll be at therapy until 11:00 in the morning, after that not sure, I'll give you a call, you can bring it over, and we'll see what's up, maybe the helicoils have come loose, and I just have to glue them back in.

if it's not drivable, I know someone with a BIG wrecker, and she'll come get it. watch out though, she's used to cutting out the tank, and selling it for the weight. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
