Question Needed help with radiator for manual 98 Ranger w/ 2.5L

Hello,

Does anyone know where to find a radiator (hopefully new) like the ones originally supplied with 1998 Rangers with 2.5 L engines -and- manual transmissions? The radiators I have found at all the part dealers I have contacted have two extra connections, I assume for automatic trany fluid, which my original radiator doesn't have. I assume that I could always cap off the unnecessary ports, bur rather use the correct radiator if possible.

Any help with this matter will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Infante

You might find one in a junk yard, but I have been led to believe all replacement radiators come with the A/T in tank cooler. That's to reduce complexity in the part supply system. Try a radiator shop to see if they can rebuild the one you have.

As mentioned you are probably gonna run into replacements where one radiator is meant to be used in both manual and automatic applications. There should be plugs on the fittings which are meant to be left in place if the application doesn't use the cooler.
