Did you notice an improvement when you got the fat hips off the truck? The best I have EVER gotten is 16 MPG.

One thing I know will help is getting rid of the down pipe. I hear they had a 800 LB gorilla at the factory to sit on them before they put them in the truck.

 

I got a good improvement because the dually axle had 4.10 gears, and the SRW axle I swapped in has 3.55 gears. Plus less weight cause I switched to aluminum wheels.

An intake (6637 from Riffraff) and 3" downpipe were a big help too. Lets it breathe better.

 

Is that the famous truck that everone wants to list on Craigslist?

 

That's the one... hot commodity these days. No one has made me an offer yet, surprisingly. haha

I called the guy and it sounded like he was from "way down south", barely spoke english. Said that his truck looked just like it. I politely asked him to take down the picture. I don't think he ever did.

I'm in Prineville! Got in around 1:30pm. Took a drive up the crooked river, walked around with the baby and wife for a while, then swimming at the hotel.
