I am sure this has been asked a million times, but what is the widest tire I can fit on the front of a 77 f-250 2wd without rubbing. I dont care about what will fit on the rims, just what will fit in the wheel wells. Could 12.5 inch tires fit? Oh yeah and is there a limit on the width rim/tire in the back? The reason I ask is that I am trying to set up a drag style look with the back tires stickin out alot.
I think that the back would depend on weather you wanted to lift the rear or tuck the tires. I see problems with rubbing on the front and rear with the wheel sizes. IMO, I would run 15x8 in the front and 15x10 in the rear. With these wheel sizes I don't see a problem running the tires you want. Just make sure you measure the back to get the right backspacing on the wheel. Also you could probably get 31's in the front and 33's in the rear.
Keep in mind that a F250 is supposed to have 16" wheels, 15" will fit but may require grinding or spacers which would change the position of the wheels in the wheel wells.
What size tires do you have on there now? Do you have 16" or 16.5" wheels now? How much clearance (between the wheel and caliper) on the front? How about the (between drum and wheel) on the rear? How much backspace do your current wheels have?
