Well i found a real deal i believe on craigslist

cummins engine found that on the local list today if its all true it seems to be a fair deal maybe some would say a steal anyway just putting it up here incase any of you guys wanted one

You get the engine and the intercooler for 1k?!?!?!

Ya thats what i was thinking to but i dont have a grand now and id rather run a 7.3 stroke if i ever do a swap

is that brand loyalty talking or just personal pref? the maint of the 6bt would be cheaper, the power could be stronger. Just curious. not picking at ya.

Well i see to many cummins making 500+hp not near as many strokes so i am gunna have to stay and support my IH comunity in the diesel world so ya sorts a loyalty thing haha

If I was gonna swap in a stroke I'd go with a 6.0, once you work out all the bugs in them they are a power house.

To many electronics on them the 7.3 is some but not near as many as a 6.0 i could get a 6.0 that needs head gaskets for 700 today but i dnt want to take the risk on it buddies grandpa has it at his scrapyard

thats cool man, i just like the durability and dependability of the power that can be torched out of a cummins.

If you really want that engine, I'd take the link down, lol. Ask what year the truck came out of - If its not out of a 94-98.5, I wouldn't bite.

Oh i dont its only a 20min drive away but im passing i posted for others to look about if they wanted it and its not its the ve pump not the p7100 but still the ve pump motors are powerhouses to

its got the VE pump and its intercooled so im guessing 91-93

Well if i understand the fellow right he bought the intercooler and put it on origanly non intercooled iirc

so maybe its a first first gen. whats the valve cover? one that covers all the valves or the individual valve cover per cylinder

Oh i know its a first gen cause of the ve pump the 2nd gen 12valves had the p7100 then the 24valve had the vp44 so its for sure a first gen all the 12 valves first and second gen both had the individual covers so that wont help but the ve pump says it for you
