Looking for a 1978 Ford truck bed

hello, i am in need of a bed for my 1978 ford!

How far are you willing to travel? There is a guy cloe to York PA that may have one.

really, well i live in ohio so it wouldnt be too bad of a drive do u know for sure if they have a bed?

I'm not sure, I haven't been up there for several months.
You can call him between 5pm & 8pm (Mon-Wed) or Saturday 9am -2pm @ 717-292-2594

i also might be in need of a 78 longbed for an F-150. hopefully will be buying this truck soon but the bed might need to be fixed .it has your avg. rust over the wheel wells. and wasent sure how to go about fixing that... or if it would just be better to buy a bed thats not rusted or dented....i mean surface rust is ok cause i'm going to have it painted. and we'll sand all the rust off of it. just dont want something thats going to be a pain to get ready for it to be painted

There are two bed lengths, 6 1/2 & 8 ft. 1977/79 Styleside beds have the fuel cap(s) behind door(s). The fuel cap(s) are exposed on 1973/76 Styleside beds.

There are two different 8' beds. 1973/76 & 1977/79 F350's on the 140" wheelbase have the rear axle set back farther than the other 1973/79 F100/350's.

These beds have a large compartment on the right side (in front of the rear wheel) with a door...inside is the spare tire.
