6.4 sct tune help!?
Hey I recentley bought an sct tune offroad version! It Really works Great with the DPF on, which i will be removing later this week! i cant imagine how shel run then!!
I was just curious how safe it will be to run my truck on the extreme tune, i have a cai, 5 inch exhaust and soon dpf delete!? I dont plan on running the constantly on extreme just sometimes at the track 1/8 mile and playing around no longer than an hour at a time! also i keep the trans on the softest setting possible at all times! id rather be safe espically with a stock trany!
also should i return my truck to stock in between tunes Example "performance too Extreme"?
and last!? the tuner ask me about if my egr has been removed? what exactly is this and should i have mine removed!?
I kno i asked alot but i have too much in this truck and id rather be safe than sorry haha! thanks and i appreciate any help on any questions!!?

Here's his Xtreme tuning package: IDP Ford 6.4L Custom Tuning Package
Right now I'm running the Xtreme Street (280+ RWHP over stock!) with firm shifting. Looking forward to running that head to head with my buddy's '08 that's running the 275HP tune. From what I've read elsewhere, he shouldn't be a problem!
FYI, Eric does NOT recommend the soft shift setting on the Xtreme Street tune, although you can on either the Tow or Street program. At the higher power levels you need that extra line pressure, etc. to keep your tranny happy and prevent slippage. Eric's very well known for his shifting programming and his tunes are arguably the best out there in that respect. If axle wrap/tire hop becomes an issue there's one of two things you can do, (1) apply less downward pressure to the skinny pedal or (2) keep you foot to the floor with the skinny pedal, as long as you have OUO (or another reputable manufacturer) traction bars installed! My buddy has them in his '08, I don't have them yet, so he'll hook up much cleaner than I will...for now!
Another thing you need to do, and what Eric specifically recommends, whether or not you've deleted the EGR fully or even used block-off plates, make sure in the options that you state it's been removed. It makes a difference.
Hope this helps...
