Talking it's back!

I just picked up my 466 block from the machine shop this morning. I have spent half the day already grinding external casting flash and glyptaling the lifter valley. Plus I panited the extirior to prevent any farther rusting of the block. I think it will make you do a double take when you pop the hood. What do you think? I have a couple new pics in my gallery.

It's always a nice feeling when you reach the assembly stage on a project.

Yes it is George. I just added a few more pictures of the block to compare to the ones before the machine work. Just think once I pick up the assembly lube I will have my pistons in.

it's back!

I am running Hayes .030 over rings, but not the moly ones. I decided to take it easy on this build to see how well I do. After this one I am going to go hog wild and build a car to drag race with.

Oh how shinney it is now. You know I think that .010 in the hole is a little close. But you know what? That just means I can build a better one next time. Besides I like knowing my compression will be a bit better.
