Post up if you can

Mileage listed below - I like it. I had a 2002 xlt 4x4, 4.11s 295/70/16s supercab and this guy is faster than that one was. Not by a huge margin, but then the automatic looses a lot compared to the 5 speed.

I like it. It's what I need, and I got one heck of an end of year deal on it. All things being equal I'd have gone with the ecoboost, but all things were not equal, and I am happy with it.

2011 xlt 4x4 3.73 supercab, 275/65/18 tires.

around town it's pretty steady at around 18-19
highway 55 23-24
highway 65 20-21
highway 70 19 even

it's not well broken in and those numbers are from the lie-o-meter. with a 36 gallon tank I don't know how many samples I will get. I filled up redently so I'd have a known standard. I think the dealership didn't fill it all the way up.

On my 2011 mustang with the 3.7 the lie-o-meter reads 1.1-1.3 lower than miles/gallons so I figure it's representative but could be 1 up or 1 down. Common consensus is that the 2011s are pretty accurate. I'll let you know when the tank runs dry.

Just like my mustang, you get 300 horsepower OR (THATS OR) advertised mileage. if you lay into the gas the mileage deteriorates quickly.

Um... mine is a 3.7 supercab 4x4... and it is getting the job done for me.
the 3.7 in this combo is limited to XLT or below trim levels though. XLT works for me.

I pulled the trigger on a new 2011 xlt short bed reg cab 3.7 4x4 last Friday...picking her up on Tuesday. I have a 90 F350 dually 4 door that I do heavy work with. This little truck is going to do what I need it to.

I was considering a ranger. I had owned one in the past and loved it.....in fact, I almost bought one. When I went to look at it, I realized for just a little more, I could get the F150 with a heck of a lot more room ...and more value.

Love the New F-150 3.7L V6

I traded in a 2008 4.6L 2V XLT for the same 2011 model with the free chrome package. It is a 2WD. Ford was giving an outrageous rebate. I just couldn't refuse it. There is no question that it has more power than the 4.6L. It drives more like a performance car than a truck; and let me tell you that she is so, so, so much more friendlier at the gas pumps. I took a 248 mile trip last Sunday down a major NC highway averaging about 70 miles, just to keep up with traffic. This thing didn't break a sweat and actually tached lower than 4.6L V-8 cylinder at the same speed. After driving around the Piedmont country roads for a while then getting back on Route 40 it averaged 21.1 MPG. I have owned it for one-month now. I don't tow, even though I have the package; however, someday I might consider a small trailer but not hauling over a ton. The vehicle basically is used for bulky items at home. The truck is quieter and the seats are much more comfortable than its predecessor's. Also, thank you Ford for shortening that huge dash. I recommend it to anyone! I do want to say though that I had no complaints with 4.6 but technology is better now.

Just picked up my new truck on Saturday! 2011 SCab XL, 3.7l V6. So far, it's awesome. Plenty of power for what I need (occasional light towing of a 16 ft boat), light hauling. Gas mileage was the biggest surprise of all. Been getting 19 in town, and got up to 25 on the freeway. Average highway mileage is around 22.5, so not too shabby!

Loss of mileage

I got a 2011 F150 XLT, 3.7l, 4 door w/towing pkg. Mileage was great 21-22 avg. It has 53K miles on it and now I can't get 18 mpg. Checked air filter, plugs and all is OK. Reset computer, nothing, still can't get 18. I stopped by and asked the local dealer where I bought it and they couldn't help either.

Hello. New to the thread and a new ford owner. Last week I Bought a certified preowned 2011 f150 supercab 3.7L V6 XLT with the 145" wheelbase and 3.73 ratio limited slip axle. 2 wheel drive. Has 12,000 miles. Has tow package, xlt convenience, plus, and Chrome packages. I get great gas mileage. I do mostly highway driving. Garden state parkway to be exact. On cruise control at 70mph I get 23.5 mpg. At 75 mph I get about 22.5mpg. Off the highway I get about 19mpg. I have gotten up to 25 mpg on 55mph roads. Id like to share more info if anyone out there is interested. Thanks
