lower intake bolt torque

The hinds book for my 98 f150 say that for the 4.2 the torque in 19 foot pounds. This seems high to me so I looked in the E-150 van book that covers the same years and it says 89 in pounds. I think the later is true but maybe ford put different engines in the trucks?

Thanks doug

hi, in the chilton manual it states 2 stage. first being 44 inch lbs, next is 71-101 inch lbs.
i think the uprated gaskets have also had a revised torque setting so it may to check that out. bokker.
