The corner of Inyo St. and Hwy 395 just a few miles south of Manzanar... the Film Museum and across the street is the DWP office.. I used to drive 395 daily when I lived in Mammoth Lakes working as an engineer For Amerigas. Actually heading up there this weekend

 

Was out last weekend and found a new hill to summit.

looks like the camarillo grade above the US101. the fresh blacktop road looks like lewis road.

 

Got it Justin. The fresh, curvy blacktop is the 101 Conejo grade. Taken right above the northbound weigh station. Kind of a steep trail. Was surprised to find a model airplane airstrip on the opposite side of the 101, 1/2 way up that hill. I was getting a good air show from my vantage.

 

i am shocked they paved it! i thought it was Lewis road since last time was out there it was the newest stretch of oil they had laid at the time....

happy i nailed it somewhat..... im not usually very good a roads in picture.
