Looking good!

I actually like to use Plasticote engine enamel! If I rattle can the body on my 54 It's going to be painted with their engine enamel. It sprays on nice and easy and seems pretty durable even with out getting baked on. Plus they have clear coat for it too.

Yeah I might try that sometime. I didnt mean to paint the dash satin black. That was an accident. I grabbed the wrong can off the bench I thought I was putting primer over the plasticote...... wrong. Now I think I compounded my mistake by clearcoating the satin. I now have some orange peel and paint lift. I should have left well enough alone. Well that how it will stay as it all comes off in a few years anyway. Got to get moving to other stuff Im feeling fall closing in. Hey what do you want for a $6 paint job?

The way I see it is it's only paint. If you don't like it you can always sand it down or hit it with paint stripper!

I think it looks pretty good. Especially for $6.00!

It would be nice if I had 3 years worth of work done on the truck to match 3 years of pics. Then I could just kick back and take it easy and drive it. No such luck. Putting time in on it when I can. Want it to be a driver or close by the time snow flys. My 63 is waiting for the indoor activity. Floor pan work and cab corners. Get a welder and hole up with my 63 until the sun comes out again. I still have to insulate the attick in garage before winter sets in to try and hold the heat a little better than last year. Once I get that done then I can start honing my welding skills. This should all keep me out of trouble for a few minutes.

Some more progress. I recieved the truck wiring diagram from Faxonautolit.com on Monday. I can now fix up all po previous farmerizing of the wiring at the dash. Need to get the gage wired in and the ignition switch. Anyway here is where I am with it now. Pushing for start up before the snow flys.

Well thar she be. Trying to bust a hump on it again this weekend. More to follow. Ill be starting on the wiring tonight.

Yup were inching our way closer. Dont mind working on it in the rain which we had to do part of the weekend. Better than snow. Cant wait to here that big block come to life with a set of open headers. Once I get it running right the 4v will follow.

[QUOTE=Buzz44;10905842]My son and I turned a few wrenches this weekend. Installed the motor and did a little work on the interior.

Sorry about the disappearing pics. My so and so pc at home locked me out of my web posting pic site. Im pissed. I did a lock on that part of the site on my work pc not realizing it would lock the pics out on my posts. What a piece of crap that site is but Im kind of stuck. Ill open them back up when I go back to work.

Fixed it......

It lives

FE 352 Attempt to start #30ish? - YouTube

He may be on the road pulling his own weight by the time snow flies. Still got a few things to work out on him. Needs a break job complete. The transfer case seems to be stuck in 4 low. It was a job getting the old motor and truck to come to an agreement with us and start. My youngest son and I did prevail.

I post up a few more when the clip is all back in place.
