Yes she does have skills and Im am very glad she stands behind me on this and helps out where she can. Sometimes Im amazed at what she can do. On another note we will be headed up to the Lost in the 50s car show in Sandpoint Idaho today so I will get some pics of it in all its current glory on the way up there. Its about a 60 mile drive with some pretty scenery on the way. Photo op I think so.

On a side note Ted Ill have to try the femflex exhaust header gaskets as I installed the felpro ones from NAPA last night and much to my dismay there is still a slight leak going on on the passanger side.

It sounds like you are a lucky man! Enjoy the drive and the show.

That's a bummer that you've still got the exhaust leak. Hopefully the Remflex gaskets will fix it for you.

That's a good looking truck!

The Remflex gaskets work, but make sure you get the right size ones for your ports, and don't over torque them. The torque spec is something like 5-10 lbs! I've blown out a few set because I overtorqued them.

By the way, what was the name of that sound deadener from home depot?

Thanks guys I never even asked her to try the interior she just jumped in and started to learn.

Rusty Old the stuff I used and taped in place is called reflectix. Here is a link to their site. The World’s Largest Manufacturer of Reflective Insulation and Radiant Barrier Products. I used this and taped it in its probably not the best to use under carpet as it is a little thick. I only used it as it is cheap and will be removed later. I will say it did change the climate inside the cab as the cab gets pretty hot in the sun without this insatalled above the headliner. With it installed under the carpet and against the firewall and against the roof I noticed quite a difference in road noise and temp control in the cab. Just a quick fix I guess that kind of works temporarily.

Pics of completed interior and complete truck

On the way to the car show

Wife enjoying the ride and the scenery

At the show.... The flat black prime job went well with the younger crowd and even some older folks.

On the way home stopped by the Pend Oriell river for the view and a photo op sorry couldnt resist.

I have to say that I really love your truck. It is looking amazing after what you started with. I wish I could find one of these old four wheel drives. Keep up the great job on it and have fun driving it.

Yup thats me. A guy has to mark his terratory you know.

LOL not....... Just someone loooking at the truck he was probably looking at the tires and wheels. I get alot of comments on the tire size and wheel combo. It was cold and rainy with lots of wind blowing I wouldnt blame him if he had to dump his morning coffee someplace.

It will be on a removable light bar. I got a siren off or ebay to go with it. My son tested the rotator and said 2 bulbs are burnt out and motor turn gear is stripped. Ill have to look into that part and see what I can come up with if those are problem areas. The doors will have magnetic gold stars. The saying about shine will be just a little spice on the rear bumper. Just something to add a little showmanship. Lol

Glad to hear you are still at it.

A 57 big window is a sweet looking truck. Did you pick up another parts truck?
