found out the difference between a 4x4 frame and a 4x2 frame, the 4x2 is not boxed like the 4x4 in the front so gonna have to have some welding done before paint

When you get ready to paint let me know I can give a quick course that will turn out way better than Maaco will do! I am in the process now of doing first stage of my restoration on my 97' f-350 the last year of the good looking trucks!!!

well im thinkin about cutting the front of the bad frame off just in front of the rusted out part and having it welded to the front of my donor frame. due to the 4x4 frame front part being a boxed frame

You can eassily box the section of your frame where the soring hangers mount up. thats the only parts that is really imporntant.

Glad to see your swapping out the bad frame. Driving that one scares me.

scares me too, i found out i can get 87-91 superduty shackle brackets that make the boxed frame in the front. just have to drill the bolt holes but i may have to make a box for it as i havent been able to find the brackets

Glad your still keeping with it. I got a few friends that won't stick to anything, so it's nice to see a bit of persistence through thick and thin. Hope all is going well, and smoothly!

and keep at it!
