Newbie Here-? about a '90 F150

I can buy an 1990 F150 - excellent condition for $1,000. It has 101,000 miles and has always had a camper top on it. It has the tow package and very clean. My sister's FIL used to work for Ford (retired from there) and bought this car new.

What do you all think of this deal?

Thanks for the input.

From just this info here, it sounds like a good deal. Any truck that runs is worth $1000 in my book.

Here is some more info. Body has no rust. Been garaged since bought. It is a XLT Lariet. Regular cab/bed, automatic, am/fm/cassette. Two tone gray with red panel, power windows, power locks, matching camper top, bed is immaculate as the camper top has never been off the truck.

Thanks.

Absolutely, and it's a Lariet to boot too. He didn't mention what engine it had that I saw but heck, all three available are great engines. My preference personally, if it had the 300 six or a 5.8 that's just a bonus.

Jump over that truck before anyone else does. In my country a truck like that would worth $8000.
