hey guys gears???????
i think that my truck has 456's because the guy i am buying it from told me that i could pretty much start out in third if i wanted to
now i dont want to redoo my gears to be able to get a better rpm rang so i am just going to put on bigger tires. i was just wondering if you knew of anywhere i could get a 4-6 inch susp lift for a good price????
oh i was just wondering how rare the original 1970 ford factory winch is???

Are you certain the winch is a factory item? I know Jeep,IH,and Dodge Had factory PTO winches,IH used mostly Ramsey,Dodge used mostly Braden, and Ive seen Ramsey and Koenig on older jeeps. What brand winch do you have? BTW, the money you spend on bigger tires/wheels,and a suspension lift would likely buy a whole lot of gas! Have fun with it,but no matter what you do with a truck like this(short of putting in a diesel), your mileage is going to be poor

i found out that i have 411's rear and 409's front
ya i found that out last night and as for the deisel i was already planning on puting in a 5.9 cummins in the future. also found out that my motor is from a 76 f250 but still the same. it has elec ignition but still want some more ignition upgrds but runs not to bad. seems like i loose alot of power in 3rd gear. as for you guys with the front end probs when you go fast ... i was going 72 and there was not a single vibration or anything.
