bought this truck (96 f250 ecsb 460 auto) a few months back for only 2300. sold my 97 cclb powerstroke and bought this and paid some bills so i can buy a 6.4 harley davidson f350 in march. in the short term i cant leave things alone. ive done the exaust and intake as well as a 10" custom lift with 37" tires. after i get the new truck i have a 97 cali powerstroke id like to swap in. anyone done this? do they make a programmer for this truck with the 460? this truck will always just be a toy so im not concerned with suck things like mpg or emissions. i cant drive small block motors so im more than used to the fuel consumption.

460 trans will not bolt to PSD, need trans. for PSD.

 

You would need ALOT more than just the engine. The harness, trans, fuel system are ALL different. You would need a donor truck to make the swap realistic

 

yeah i did some more research and may end up trading the engine for a 2000 dodge as a donor engine swap. guess i just assumed... and it made an *** of me. for real though your dually is hella inspiring! perfect color choice! very nice work.
